Laura Thomson is a member of Howrey's Construction practice, focusing on insurance coverage and construction disputes. Ms. Thomson has represented public and private contractors in disputes in federal and state courts involving construction claims, insurance recovery, and performance bond claims. She assisted with two bid protests of government procurements.
Ms. Thomson has also assisted in the briefing of five separate appeals to the 4th, 6th, 8th and DC Circuits. The three appeals that have been decided to date were resolved favorably.
Ms. Thomson began her career in the law in 2007 after more than a decade in documentary television.
