Richard Ripley is a Partner in Howrey's Washington DC office. Mr. Ripley practices complex civil litigation with a focus on antitrust/competition law. He has over 22 years of experience representing companies in a variety of antitrust contexts, with particular emphasis on vertical conduct, in the technology, automotive, chemical, building, petroleum, mass media and medical device industries. He has tried antitrust claims brought by federal and state regulators, private plaintiffs and the class action bar. He also has handled numerous antitrust grand jury and government conduct investigations.

Mr. Ripley serves as the firm's Hiring Partner and was one of the founding partners of the firm’s groundbreaking summer program, Howrey Bootcamp™.

  • Arminak & Associates, Inc. v. MeadWestvaco Calmar, Inc. Representing global manufacturer of trigger sprayers accused of violating federal and state antitrust laws through alleged exclusive dealing contracts and below cost pricing.
  • In re Organic Peroxide Antitrust Litigation. Represented manufacturer of organic peroxide in defense of national direct and indirect purchaser class actions alleging price fixing conspiracies in violation of federal and state antitrust laws.
