Chambers US Ranks Thirty - Legal 500 US Cites Seventeen
Washington, DC, June 25, 2008…Howrey lawyers and practice groups have received high marks from two leading international ranking publications- Chambers USA and Legal 500 US- in their annual ranking of the nation’s top law firms and lawyers. Chambers USA named thirty Howrey lawyers in its annual review of top US attorneys and practices. Legal 500 US recognized seventeen through Howrey’s three practice groups and ten offices.
The rankings, which are the result of the publications’ teams of researchers conducting in-depth telephone interviews with attorneys, their clients and peers, assess the credentials of law firms and their attorneys. Results concluded that Howrey’s attorneys and their respective practice groups are leaders in many areas and continue to rank high among clients and peers.
Chambers USA ranked several Howrey attorneys and practices in the first tier nationally and regionally while others achieved top ranking in their locales (listings below). The firm received national rankings in the areas of Antitrust, Insurance: Policy Holder, and Intellectual Property: Section 337. Howrey’s Antitrust group was ranked statewide in California and Washington, DC. The Insurance Recovery practice received significant statewide rankings in California, Chicago, and DC. The Intellectual Property practice and several of its lawyers garnered national and regional rankings in California, DC, Texas and Utah. Litigation, general and white-collar, received high rankings in DC and California and Utah. The Environmental practice received a regional ranking in California.
