Seth D. Lamden, a Partner in Howrey’s Global Litigation and Insurance Recovery practice groups, focuses his practice on representing and counseling policyholders in negotiations and litigation to enforce their rights and maximize insurance recovery under Commercial General Liability, Errors & Omissions, and Directors and Officers insurance policies.

Mr. Lamden represents manufacturers and premises owners in disputed insurance claims relating to toxic torts, environmental contamination and product liability claims.  In addition to litigation in state and federal courts, he has negotiated coverage-in-place agreements and policy commutations and has developed strategies to reconstruct and obtain coverage under their historic insurance programs.

In construction-related matters, Mr. Lamden represents owners, contractors, design professionals and material suppliers seeking defense and indemnity for claims arising out of alleged defective work, faulty materials, cost overruns and delays, and various other construction-related liabilities.

Mr. Lamden also has represented a diverse array of policyholders -- including attorneys, life insurers, doctors, insurance brokers, managed care companies, and a school district -- seeking professional liability coverage for class actions and individual claims.

"As one of the premier policyholder insurance recovery practices in the world, Howrey’s insurance recovery practice has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance proceeds in matters involving all lines of insurance. Howrey’s insurance recovery practice has an unparalleled reputation for legal excellence, exceptional responsiveness, and technical expertise, as well as for developing and implementing creative approaches and solutions to complex insurance coverage disputes."
